We now go to the NFL where the Arizona Cardinals had one of the biggest wins in their recent history. And we bring in maybe one of my favorite players on that team. Wide receiver, team leader Michael Wilson joins us here on Big Day. Michael, let's go right to Sunday. You guys were the biggest underdogs of any team in any regular season game yet this season. You go into SoFi and you get the win. take us into the week leading up to that game and then what the feeling was like in the locker room afterwards. >> Yeah, the the the sense of the sense of urgency was never higher. I mean, we came off a really a terrible loss against Detroit. Um, we defense gave up 45 points. I think offense we scored, I don't know, three touchdowns, but two of them were in the second half when the game was already out of reach. So, um, the sense of urgency was high and we had known like in the week before that we played the Giants, we were 12 feet short, you know, had a pick six on the last play of the game. Uh, didn't respond the right way against Detroit. And so, you know, we made it a point of emphasis to have a great week of preparation, great week of practice, obviously going against a extremely talented team in the Los Angeles Rams, maybe one of the most talented rosters in the entire NFL. And um we had a great plan, great great week of practice. And then to go out there and and win the way we did the defense ball, then you know, I think if you can beat the Los Angeles Rams, scoring six field goals, that that's that's definitely, you know, tip your hat to the defense for sure. >> Dude, I love your game, but I also love your story. You have a degree in management, science, and engineering, finance, and decision from Stanford. >> You're smart, >> far smarter than me. probably smarter than most of our audience. So, simple question. Should we be scared of the robots taking over the world or not? >> That might be out of my jurisdiction, but it seems like I've been seeing a lot of stuff. All the experts are saying that uh you know, if we don't if we're not careful with AI that it can get out of hand. So, I'm I'm going to go and say yes. >> Okay, great. That's good. That's a funny that's a funny thing to look at. Uh, your wife is also a member of the US women's national team in soccer and she plays for the Portland Thorns. Her name is Sophia Wilson. You guys met at Stanford. Two professional athletes must make for a pretty competitive household. I ask you, what's something you guys are competitive about in the house that maybe we'd be surprised by? >> Uh, that's a really good question. You know, I think and we've we I've got this question a bunch over the years. Obviously, we've been together since we were both 18. So, coming up on a decade and two years, um, we're really not that competitive like once we're in the household. I'd say maybe play board games and whatnot, but like sports, football, soccer consume so much of our lives that like when we get home and it's just us and it's just the two of us and now obviously we have a beautiful daughter, like we kind of want to leave all of that competitive juice at the door. But yeah, there's really not that much competition between us to be honest with you. >> Okay. All right. Well, look, our guy Zack Z, right? JJ Watt, you you're all football stars and you all ended up marrying highlevel soccer players. Now, I just learned this from our producer Megan. The term Habs. Do you know the term term Habs? This is husbands and boyfriends. >> Yeah, it's like wags. Um, I got to ask you, is there a Habs group chat going on during women's soccer? like an NWSL group chat with all of you NFL legends who have wives that play soccer. >> You know, I think I there was when my rookie year when me and I were on the same team, uh that was also the year of the World Cup. So, uh Julie was playing in the World Cup, my wife was playing in the World Cup, and so um we would >> be staying up watching games, texting about it because they played in New Zealand. And so, and that was during training camp for us. So that some of their games would be at two two or three o'clock in the morning and me and Urgy would be texting back and forth. But now that I don't have, you know, a player on my team. Yeah. Or really anyone that I'm close to in the NFL that wife or girlfriend also plays uh professional soccer. That that's kind of falling off. >> Okay. No, we have to re-engage with Z. Z is now back with the Eagles. Like just text him be like, "Yo, what's up? You watching Portland this weekend? Are you watching the I mean this is I feel like we need to get going." you know, I don't know how much w how much soccer he's he's he's got three kids now back playing in NFL. Uh his wife's done playing, so you know, I don't know how much soccer definitely next year is a World Cup, women's world cup. So, I know for a fact uh there will be a lot of people, not just ISIS, but there will be a lot of NFL people watching um the women's world cup because obviously the whole country is going to rally behind the US women's national team. >> I love it. Michael, we'll be watching you against the Denver Broncos this weekend. Thanks for joining Big Day and good luck on the rest of the season, my friend. >> Yes, sir. Thanks for having me on the show. >> Awesome.
