Welcome in to the latest edition of Extra Time. Here we are in Barcelona. Craig Burley has a bad back and boy have we heard a lot about it. You should have seen him try to get on the storm. Have >> you got a bad backmate, have you? >> Didn't know that. >> Well, you get that quiet. >> He already took seven pills. Seven. Great. Since me day. >> One every eight hours, I was told. >> Right. That that went out the window before I even got out the shop. I thought you said eight every 1 hour. No, it was the other way around, was it? >> Well, don't worry. Once I have a sip of uh guy >> medicine later on local medicine help him sleep. >> There we go. I don't have the questions. Let's see if they appear magically on the television. That would be quite useful, wouldn't it? Are they going to Right. Oh, yeah. >> Oh, that's beautiful. All the best, Dan. You can ask. >> I'll leave I'll leave that to you, Dan. Come here. see that. >> What can Trent Alexander actually have to do to get back to >> Mourinho's starting 11 >> at Madrid? Oh, bloody hell. What does he need to do? I mean, first it was Trent, then it was Denzel Dumpries who was brought in, and now he seems to revert it back to Fy Valverde, doesn't it? And he seems to like I mean, Ferry Valver is a incredible footballer in any position, but he doesn't like to play at right back. You almost feel as if you're taking Fedy Valverde out of the center of midfield because he's a runner and he's a worker and he does the right things most of the time. So Trent's just going to have to be patient, I think, and get and get back into the team when he when he's given us opportunity cuz he will do >> he's got done as well. It's going to be a difficult goal. I saw them the other day when they were focusing on the video uh both of them sitting down and he's I mean it doesn't look good at all because you arrived to Real Madrid with expectation of playing. He had a few chances in and out and now they brought Danfree and now not even Dies in the 11 for two games in a row. Doesn't make a lot more sense for the ones we are outside but >> I guess it's going to be difficult for Tren. >> I've got the email. Oh, fantastic. >> We're good. Well, >> what's that question? >> Depends what the quality of the questions are. Why do players always seem to sign for the biggest club that wants them? So often it doesn't work out. Shouldn't they be more concerned with how well they fit the league and team they are moving to? Luis, you're nodding. No, that's because that's a fantastic question and and I think one of the latest player who done that is Rodri. He was approached by Real Madrid but he felt that his style of play for Real Madrid it wasn't going to work out. he got the offer of Barcelona straight away he went to Barcelona because that's a lot sense but for a player when you receive the call of a of a big team it's always a feeling in your head is not thinking oh I'm going to dab you think that if Real Madrid comes to to call you for your attention or of Liverpool or Barcelona it's because you are uh to you got enough quality and talent to to to deliver >> you back yourself >> I think I think that happens all the time was the Bundesliga player of the year what twice and it was it was muted that um Bayern Munich wanted them and Liverpool wanted them. I think both teams were exceptional, but it was a case of he probably felt I want to go and play abroad and I think I'll be able to do it in the Premier League. He's been a little bit hit and miss as most people would would >> on a team that he's would agree which would a team which effectively you think would suit him down to right down to the ground but he hasn't hit the ground running but I think always good players always back themselves to be able to think themselves I can play in that league. I can play in that league. I can play in that league. So, I think it it it depends on the player himself and what level he is at. >> You finally got Craig to appear on Football Americas. That was uh yesterday. That is avail It's available on ESPN YouTube if you like. >> You you and I shouted at a lot of people. >> Uh you did. >> Yes. You were a bad influence on me. I got a bit grumpy with her as well. Any chance Craig will make an appearance at the Bon Door then on Monday? Well, you'll do well to get out your bed tomorrow to be fair. >> Yeah. Struggling struggling. >> Get you to You're going ma. Yeah, >> I'm there. I'm there. Yes. I'm going to go. >> What are you doing there? >> I am uh doing nothing. >> Right. >> Just part of the Well, I'm a UFA ambassador and uh it's in London. >> So, am I and I'm not there? >> It's in London where and I live in England. So, I I am going. >> Thanks for that. >> Yes. >> No, because if I had to travel to Alter Mongolia, I probably wouldn't have gone. But I am going to be there. Ulam Batau is very nice. I'm going to be there cuz it's in London and it's it's near >> Who's going to win it? >> Well, >> do you know? >> I don't know. No, but three, four, five months ago, I had to tell Harry Kane, but the the the rumors I'm having it it might be Well, it'll probably be Lem I think. We'll see if >> that's kind of the sexier choice, I suppose, as we know and a wide range of people from all over the world. And sometimes it's not who the best player is or who deserves it. It's just >> and a lot a lot of new generation >> correct. who's the sexiest player and you know >> so that's what I'm hearing at this moment but I don't know I don't know >> politics >> the only thing I got was stick from a waiter in a restaurant last night >> yes you did get >> some waiter he told the waiter bald guy teeth missing quite fitting really >> he told the waiter that I played for Chelsea and Celtic and the wait what did the waiter say he wrote 15 on the tablecloth and said talk to me when he's won 15 champions leagues >> and I this must be the reason I didn't realize I was a waiter in Barcelona who's won the Champions League. 15 seconds. That's incredible. It >> of all kinds working around here. >> It was great. He took a real dislike to Craig. It was fantastic. >> I don't think he liked I ordered the uh the stewed oxtail. >> I just don't think he liked you. I think it was just the standard. >> Well, he's not he's not alone. >> Uh Luis, who would be the winner if our classical was a draw? Um, oh, I I mean I would say Barcelona because still leading and still in the momentum and you keep Real Madrid away, but for Real Madrid is not a bad result either. So yeah, I think that no one wins in that one. I think both at the moment are thinking that I think that I'm going to say Real Madrid. >> Real Madrid. >> I think what you would say is if Madrid don't lose, >> Madrid will have played Atletico. Real Betis and Barcelona all the way from home. So that might be, you know, positive going forward. >> Yes. Y agree. >> It's very positive. >> Thank you. >> Sorry. >> Question. >> Okay, final question. What's the best restaurant in Barcelona? Luis, >> it's for you. No, no, but >> I'm not asking in. >> No, we went there is one Catalan one here nearby that if you want to go. If not, we can go to Ketes. Ket is one of the top. >> That's where we went to. >> Did you go already? >> We went to it last year. Do you remember? >> Yeah. The one last year >> I took you to that I took you to butter fier was I took them to that's a a popular one. >> What was the one we went? >> Yeah. It was so iconic that Burley was most excited not about the food but the dodgy place you went next door which was doing a euro a beer. That's all. >> Excuse me. There's nothing wrong with value for money Dan. There's nothing wrong with value for money. >> €2 it was. Exactly. >> Amazing. >> I was thinking about moving. >> It's better than €12 in London. It was >> €2. I'm moving here. >> It was a It was a dive bar, but it was cheap. I know you were buzzing about. So, so where can this is a top right here in in Barcelona? There's a lot of non bar and the guys just prepared amazing food. I I never took you there. So, let's go tomorrow. >> No. Okay. We went last year. We You Pete Vanier went. It must have been a different restaurant. No, I I when I went to that place, that was that bottom we went to, which is a popular restaurant with people now, which is very busy. >> Is that the one when Jules Kundi walked in? >> Yes. >> Right. There you go. >> So, we're on the same page. >> Yes. >> Walk into uh Deco. Actually, he was having lunch next to us. >> Let's do it tomorrow. >> There you go. >> Well, Ian's here tomorrow, isn't he? >> Have we got a show tomorrow? >> Yes, we got cancel. Let's cancel the show >> and we'll go we'll go out to We'll let everybody know what it was like on Sunday at 11:00 local time. >> I think our boss would understand. Yes, our boss will understand. >> We're going to a nice restaurant. So, >> sampling the atmosphere before the >> big I'll just do the show on my own. >> Everyone's a winner. >> Yeah, he's he's quite bored now anyway, so it's fine. >> To be fair, you're you're only going to be Yes.
