Many other clubs have failed and that is to bounce right back. It hasn't been all plain sailing for Frank Schmidt's side with a heavy loss to Herta and early exit from the cup. Crucially though, they have tightened up what was a very leaky defense in the opening few weeks with consecutive clean sheets. Four wins from five league games have put them among the early front runners, but it also represents their best ever start to a Bundesliga 2 campaign. >> The lineups are in and Verfeld's head coach Oliver K has opted to give his new striker a full debut. Dutchman David M has appeared twice as a sub since his lone move from Utre was confirmed. Today he will be the focal point of Belereld's attack. So Joel Grodovski is likely to be deployed out wide. Attacking midfielder Marvin Mumm drops to the bench to accommodate the change. The team spine remains unchanged with defensive midfielder Stefan Russo. Center backs Maximleian Gro and Maxmillian Ba and keeper Yonis Kerken having played every minute of the campaign so far. But there is rotation at left back with Tim Hanera replacing Aniska. It's a first start since match day three for the 29y old. [cheering] >> Well, many would suggest you shouldn't change a winning team. Frank Schmidt has good reason this weekend. Georgian striker Buru sat out last weekend's win over Kiel Sik. But the man who averages a goal every second game in Bundesliga 2 is available again. Yet the good news ends there as Marcel Costley misses out. The inform summer signing from Englestat was subbed off injured on match day five and he's hoping to recover over the international break. Christian Conte takes his place among the first 11 for the first time since March. There's a change on the opposite wing two. How Henri has been promoted from sub to starter and it's a return home for captain Patrick Ma who joined Beerfold as a youth player and spent 5 years at the club before leaving for Vera Breman back in 2014. [cheering] Well, in the spotlight before kickoff, the Armenis that is Belerfeld's Youth Club. It is, of course, World Children's Day in Germany. And the kids have been given their opportunity to shine and contribute to match day action. Even in the press conference in the buildup to this game, our two lucky individuals were allowed to join in and ask a couple of questions of head coach Oliver K, who was delighted to be able to answer them and speak about his time as a youngster and how he got into football. The next generation of fans here at Yal. very well supported and always welcome of course here on match day. It's a common theme among visiting head coaches. They're always asked about what it's like to come here to the Alm. They say it is a truly special place as we get to enjoy the anthem. Arminia. Armenia proudly sung with the scarves held aloft. Always a touching moment before the action down on the pitch gets underway. We are I'll be The fans whose hearts beat for the club drawn together as always and hoping that Beerfeld can turn the corner. It's not been the best of starts this season. Can they come up against one of the league's inform sides in Heidenheim and get a shock result? Heidenheim the clear favorites despite being on their travels today. What a perfect showdown for Sunday afternoon to bring the curtain down on what has been yet another exciting weekend of fixtures in Germany's second tier. It's a fixture that has history as well. Berfeld last beat Hidenheim on the 28th of June 2020 and following that 3N home win on match day 34. They were presented with the Bundesliga 2 winners trophy. >> Despite losing that day, Heinheim finished in the playoff place, but they lost out to Ba Raymond. Today's man in charge, Felix Vagnner, just 25 years of age. Far and away not the oldest man on the pitch. Hidenheim making their way over to the right side of the pitch as we look down on it. Beerfeld players taking their opportunity to appreciate the support from the stands before they switch back to the other end. Unwavering support through the good times and through the tough. That's what you can expect here at the Alm. Rosski has four goals for the season. Could he be the man to get the better of Heidenheim's defense and fire Beerfeld back to winning ways? I expect the noise to continue throughout this game. Whatever happens, >> players are ready and all we need to do now is wait for referee Felix Vagna. Match day six in Bundesliga 2 continues this Sunday afternoon. Live coverage here from the Shuk Arena, the Alm, the home of Aminel as they put early pressure on their guests. High-flying Heidenheim. What a run it has been for Frank Schmidzman. Can they continue here? Three wins in the last three games for Hidenheim. Getting the better of Dunamdon in a very entertaining match that had no fewer than eight goals. 5-3 the final score. It calmed things down against Britford and Horstein winning by a goal to nil. As for Oliver K and Aminel last time out, they put in a good performance against Damnat away from home only to come away with nothing, conceding from a penalty four minutes from time. David Mint into the thick of the action getting his full debut this afternoon after a couple of appearances off the bench. New on loan this summer. Excellent work from Mumulu, a man who looked like he was heading out the door in the summer. In the end, no move materialized. Now he is committed to giving it his all, but is still yet to be involved in a goal in this new campaign. clearly eager in the opening exchanges here to put in a shift. >> Kaduso never needs an invitation to charge down the right. This is a defensive throw for Mikuel Ha. Mamulu again linking up with Russell. Sloppy passing from Heidenheim. Now space here for Tim Hanvad back in the starting 11. He's been playing a game of rotation with Aniska at left back. Today the man who got eight assists last season and four goals as well from left back gets his chance once more. >> [cheering] >> Maxmillian Ba Bel's captain made such an impression as a leader in the heart of defense. last season was handed the captain's armband over the summer replacing male kobos after his move to France. Jonas Kton looking forward to another clean sheet sooner rather than later. Just the one so far this season. That's [screaming] the [groaning] didn't have it all their own way last week. One0 victors against Kil. They did have to work hard for it. Winning goal coming in the final 10 minutes scored by Yonas Ferdenbach who we've already seen with a couple of touches. The man with number 19 on his shirt in the heart of Heidenheim's defense. Lovely header from him. Kil really did shoot themselves in the foot. They were very much in that game until Yonas Tackles got himself sent off with 40 minutes to play. Well, they've broken through the defense here, but the ball across the box is too heavy. Hidenheim Hidenheim, excuse me, looking to threaten for the first time in this match. Easily headed clear by Ba. >> Nice idea there from Christen Conte. It's been a long time for him watching on and playing a role off the substitutes bench making his first start since March. Opportunity handed to him because of the injury to Marcel Costley. Signing from Ingot has been on fire this season with a goal and three assists already. How much will they miss his presence this afternoon? got some defensive work to do here first before they miss anything down the other end. But Rodovski standed up at the far post. Mimulu unable to find a friendly face in the box. But the home fans appreciate the effort and the energy being put in by the team out there in blue and black. Hallelujah. Space so up here for Hidenheim. They didn't get into the area, but can they get a shot away? They can, but it is wide of the mark. A big big chance for Power Henrik. Frank Schmidt happy with the effort. Could the 21-year-old have done more here? Credit to Tim Haner for coming across and squeezing out the space. Surely the angle was there for the youngster to get that one on target at least to test Yonas Kexon. >> [cheering] >> 100% commitment from Maxmillian Gaer. Heat. Heat. Hoya takes the throw and decides to go back to the goal scorer from last weekend, Ferdin. Tottenham's captain Patrick Ma former Beerfeld player although he only made three senior appearances for the club did spend five seasons there after joining as a youngster. Can this one be kept in play? It can by Ha. Brushes the cross perhaps a touch. Akante takes over and he's got the skills to get into the box and get across away. In the end it's knocked behind for a corner kick. Good covering from Gdosu. Now this channel down in front of us will be the one to keep an eye on in this first half. We've got wide men and fullbacks who love to get forward. Mel Ha and Christian Conte for Hidenheim Karosu and Mamulu for Belereld. Next cross scrapped away. This time he goes out for a throw. No trouble at all for Yonas Kagon. He wants to release it quickly and does. His runup is this man Yanikel. takes perhaps a little bit of an easy tumble. Otto is happy with the decision from referee Felix Magna. Couple of opportunities for Heidenheim to get the ball into the box from out wide. Now Belereld with their turn. Headed on and behind by the defense. Corner kick here for the home team who as predicted continue to chant at the top of their voices. A high energy start to this match in Bundesliga 2. They get to score from a corner kick this season. Belief. And this one is going to go straight in towards the goal. Punch clear but not cleared completely and fired into the roof of the net by Grovski. [cheering] And the goals just keep coming from this man. Five for the campaign so far for Beldel's top marksman. >> Pure quality. The technique that he has And there is absolutely nothing that Thomas Stain can do about it other than watch and accept that he was well beaten. Belereld break the deadlock early on with a goal that gives them a much needed boost this season. How will he respond? [cheering] Neither team interested at the start of this match here at the Shook Arena to settle into the game gradually to find their feet to test the waters. Both of them starting with plenty of energy and a direct approach that is absolutely ideal for the neutral fan and is now being enjoyed especially by the home crowd here at the Alpinheim probing here. Oh, not kept in play by Kodosu. Captain Ma goes back to his keeper Dana. >> No third clean sheet of the season for Thomas Dana. began the campaign as backup to Frank Fella. The youngster was dropped after conceding 12 goals in the first two rounds and the cup loss. It's now his fourth game. Couple of clean sheets, but that's not going to happen here now as they look to respond with a fantastic ball into the box and it is skyed by Mikuel Haer. just dropping back possibly put off by his teammate sliding in was the man who almost made contact and almost took it off the toes of the Swiss international No, [cheering] God. His cross into the center is deflected. >> [cheering] >> Spacey. here for Kee always direct straight to the box onto his left driven across the face of goal but too hard for Aleandro B at the far post. A perfect response from Hidenheim. None of the players out there allowing their heads to drop after conceding so early in this game. Lovely running from Christian Conte and perhaps Einheim won't miss Marcel Costley so much this afternoon. Thomas won't be pleased with his part in that goal. He didn't get a great deal of distance on the punch, did he? from the corner kick. The way that Belerel has started this match this afternoon, you feel that he is going to certainly have more work to do before the fulltime whistle comes. The hosts not at all interested in sitting on their lead or just catching their breath. They are pushing for a second as quickly as possible. That is V with the heavy delivery. They did come up with a quite special goal last week against Armstat from outside of the area. Lovely drive from the 22year-old. Has started every single game so far this season for Belerel. Vault lifts that one over for Man Bush to collect. Deep cross from him. Henheim first to the loose ball. He'll try again here from the left. Kante keeps it on the deck. Plenty of blue shots back and what a save that is. Yordis Jackson smartly down to his left to deny it on his return to the side. Well, he shields the ball so well. Referel's defense and Stfano Russell there as well determined not to give him a reason to go down. Missed opportunity there for the hosts. They've been able to keep that in play. They had runners through the center to break on Heidenheim who had left red shirts up for the corner. >> [cheering] >> How Henrik picks up his first yellow card here. And there you can see exactly why as he knocks the ball onto the pitch to prevent Belereld from taking that throw quickly. Very unsupporting from the 21-year-old. Conte turns on the afterburners here. There's nobody closing him down. He's got time to decide what he wants to do. And what he wants to do is put it into the center only for the chance not to be taken by Vault. Marionis Kxen read it well. He knew he just needed to get himself in the way. Corner's taken short. Kante the header into the hands of Kergson. Quickly scans a pitch to see the outlet. Three men forward for Belereld. But Hidenheim's defense keep a lid on the next possible attack from the hosts. [cheering] >> [cheering] >> Little bit careless there from Mamuru leading with the arm, but he had his eyes firmly fixed on the ball. All of Heidenheim's positive attacking play coming down the left. Kante for the eenth time. Santa has the ball taken off his toes. Now Hoa one-on-one with Mamuru and it's the Belerfeld man who comes out on top. 500 fans have made the journey this afternoon. a fivehour drive north to get behind their team and what has been a really spectacular start to the campaign. Now the wheels going to come off here at the Alp. They are trying their hardest to find an equalizer. An excellent response from Heidenheim since falling behind to the goal in the 13th minute by Rodovski who absolutely loves scoring here at the Al. He scored in each of last five home games. In fact, his last 13 goals in Bundesliga 2 have come here at this ground. Zagna takes the time to explain to Patrick Manka why exactly the card is being shown here. >> [cheering] >> And that is why it has been shown it's for kicking the ball away. I say it was puzzled for a moment there exactly as to why he was getting the warning. That's all cleared up by the replay. [cheering] Aron Bush, a man who's been at the club since 2017. He's the longest serving player at Hidenheim. plenty of experience as he makes his way back into the box and helps clear go again. This time headed away by the captain. Manka beaten to the ball but they can tidy up here. Hidenheim now Russo Relz and Codu [cheering] players stroking the ball around with confidence. That's what an early goal can do. [cheering] >> That's wasted as it goes forward on Hidenheim. start to think about their next attack. Shna here. How many options open? We'll go back before the guests can go forward once more. >> Yeah. First four games of the season including the cup. Kenheim led in 15 goals backto-back clean sheets coming into this match. They've conceded again. Seems that Frankmid is at least stemmed to the float of course as part of the changes he installed because of the goals that were being led in. So Thomas Dena being handed the gloves. Frankella to sit on and think about what he can do to get back into the team. [cheering] May take quite a few mistakes. He will at least be looking forward to being called up for Germany's under 21s for the international break. Now Hidenheim again get themselves into a position from which they can get a shot away. And it's a point to the spot. Well, they have been pushing since going behind. They have found space. They have asked questions of Belereld's defense. It is tricky to see from that angle how much contact there is. Maybe this will clear it up. Is it his left foot that's taken away from him by Ba? That's what the referee has spotted, it seems. Well, a gift from Belfeld to their guests. It's being looked at, of course. The onfield decision penalty and now we wait for confirmation. [cheering] Berfeld will caught light at the back. That allowed Heidenheim to charge forward and confirmation comes that the penalty will stand and it's a chance for Zatate to restore parity in this game. Two already for the season for the Georgian. Make that three. [cheering] Back in the team and back on the score sheet. Heenheim are back level. And for all of Beerfeld's hard work in the opening half an hour of this game, they have conceded at home. Just like last week, Belereld concede a spot kick and they are punished. >> Back to square one now in this match. Still a quarter of an hour to play. And if the energy continues and the chances continue to come, we've got plenty to look forward to in this encounter. Heidenheim certainly getting the reward for their reaction to falling behind. Pushing forward with every single opportunity, getting shots away, making Yonis Kexon work this afternoon. Bush, he's got support and decides to take it. Plenty of red shirts in the center waiting for a cross. Hoer heads it back across and it is punched clear by Cex. And plenty of distance on that. We saw what approach Heidenheim took after they conceded. How will Beerfeld shape up and deal with the disappointment of being pegged back? No, stop. Good first touch. The cross with a second and it results in a corner kick. The 12 games in which these two teams have gone headto-head in Germany's second tier. Seven of them have ended with the points being shared. Could well see the teams getting a point a piece this afternoon, but I cannot see this game ending 1-1. Feel it's certainly got more goals in it. They've already scored from a corner in this match. Beerfeld, this one is taken short. and Becka on his favored left boot. Bosch third time of asking decides to turn around and head it back to Thomas Dana. Danger was very well read there by Kodosu looking to counter quickly after the set piece. >> [cheering] >> Look at the closing down from both sets of players out there this afternoon. >> So much determination to win the ball back quickly. So much eagerness to squeeze out any space available to their opponents. Now the press starts again for Belereld. The goals. from the penalty spot. Just the third away from home for Hidenheim this season. Vast majority of their celebrations have been on home soil. Was there any doubt in your mind about Svat scoring from the spot against Yonas Griggsson? Oliver K said in his press conference that every defensive action is about preventing the opponent from getting shots on goal. Unfortunately, in trying to prevent a shot for Titi, he conceded the penalty. It has now resulted them in the position in which they find themselves now. A little bit more of a cautious approach being taken now by both of the teams. The energy levels have dropped somewhat. I expect the players have rung themselves ragged in the opening exchanges of this game. Bulock doesn't quite have the acceleration to get past Her Swiss. It's first of the ball again there. Got to give it away. Belereld with only one thing in mind. Get into a shooting position. Rodovski. This is M. >> Shot from the edge of the area is blocked. Heenheim wants a counter here. >> [cheering] >> Vault. Oh, >> excellence from Maximillian Grosa. Stays on his feet and just prevents the young Swiss from passing. [cheering] Maximillian Ba to Corrosa. center backs who have played every single minute in the league together this season. They've done a pretty decent job. Picked up just one yellow card between them. Desperate to shut out Hidenheim for the rest of this match as Bolt brings the ball down and brings Kante into p
