Yes, Maxi, first of all, congratulations on the win – it was a really gruelling battle, with a frenzied atmosphere throughout the match. You clinched the win with a fantastic, spirited performance. Why don’t you summarise the 90 minutes for us? Yes, we actually played a good first half. As you know yourself, it’s tough in Stuttgart, and we played a great first half, didn’t give them many chances and were then rewarded for it. And after 90 minutes, you can say we were the deserved winners. You’ve now secured six consecutive league wins to kick off the season – a truly impressive performance. What makes this squad so special? Please could you describe that? Just like last season, we’re very strong defensively and have signed three or more top-class players. And yes, we’re simply a top-class team this year. Maxi Beier, the match-winner in the 6.30 pm top-of-the-table clash at Stuttgart. What does that feel like? Perhaps you could also describe your goal a bit – the moment straight afterwards, and above all, the celebrations with the lads. Yes, Kosta and Jobe are doing brilliantly. Jobe puts in a top-class cross. And I make a typical striker’s run and then reward myself. Yes, Greg, it was a fiercely contested match, incredibly tight. In the end, we’ve really come away with the three points. Big points. Why don’t you just describe the match from your point of view? Blimey, I don’t think it’s ever easy to play here. They’re a good team and have a great ground. That’s why they’ve always made life difficult for us, but we took our chances and won 1–0. Happy. And that’s exactly how it should be. I think you put in a very solid performance. You were always there when things got tricky. Whenever we did let anything slip, we tended to make life difficult for ourselves. What do you think was the key factor today in actually securing those three points? Yes, the team spirit. I believe in it even more today. I think it really was a team effort today. As you said, they didn’t really create much in the first half. Then in the second half they created a few chances. Apart from that header in the first half – that was quite dangerous. In the second half, too, there was the header from – I think it was Prömel – where neither of them managed to get it on target, and apart from that, they created one or two chances. But in the end, we scored the goal. That’s what sets us apart. That’s how we keep winning matches time and again. It’s one of our strengths and it’s great fun. 4 matches, 12 points, unbeaten, all wins, top of the table. How does that feel? How do you head into the international break from there? That feels really good, really good. Just like that. Let's go!
