Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Friday moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Real Betis star Abde Ezzalzouli.

This comes as Barca prepare to lock horns with the Moroccan and his Betis teammates on Saturday evening.

Wide-man Abde has taken his place centre stage in the Spanish media chatter for the latest occasion over recent days, after netting a sumptuous goal en route to a Champions League victory over Porto.

The 24-year-old has over the last 12 months established himself as one of La Liga’s standout attackers, fresh off a campaign highlighted by 15 goals and 13 assists in 2025/26.

Having spent two years honing his craft on the books of Barcelona prior to linking up with Real Betis back in 2023, the aforementioned Hansi Flick was on Friday therefore drawn on the test awaiting his side in keeping tabs on Abde tomorrow evening.

And Barca’s headmaster made use of the opportunity to heap praise on the Moroccan international, explaining:

> “I’m impressed by Ez Abde. I like the way he plays and his confidence in one-on-one situations. He scored (vs Porto), and I can only say that he’s an incredible player. He’s fantastic.”
