Real Madrid have been handed a major blow this week as Vinicius Jr. has been given a four-match suspension following his red card incident against Villarreal.
That means the Brazilian international is set to miss the next four domestic matches Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander and Valencia, respectively.
Although the Racing game is slated for November 1, their defender Pablo Ramon Parra was recently asked about Vini’s absence.
Pablo Ramon on Vinicius’ absence
Speaking to AS , Ramon was asked how will Vinicius Jr’s absence from the Real Madrid vs Racing Santander will help his team.
In response, the defender argued that there are many other players at Real Madrid, who perform at the same level.
> “I think Real Madrid has great players even if Vinicius doesn’t play. I like the Champions League; you saw Endrick’s game, he also played well . They have many players who I think will perform at a high level,” he said.
Parra added that he is looking forward to hosting his former club, regardless of who is missing. “ Let the best players play; we are ready to welcome them ,” he said.
A tricky time ahead for Vinicius
As far as Vinicius Jr. is concerned, October will be a tricky month for him as he will miss four crucial league matches, including the season’s first El Clasico against Barcelona on October 25.
So naturally, the forward will have to contend with limited game-time, as he will only be available for UCL matches against AEK Athens and RB Leipzig during this period.
But even in UCL, we have seen Jose Mourinho not shy away from taking Vinicius Jr. off around the half-hour mark, as evident in the comeback win over AS Roma.
Therefore, Vinicius Jr. could be staring at an important few weeks, as far as his standing in the first-team is concerned, especially with players like Yan Diomande, Endrick and Carlos Espi starting to make a bigger impact.
