LASK vs Liverpool - Champions League LIVE: Reds look to bounce back before Manchester City welcome PSG with Pep Guardiola returning to the Etihad

Follow Daily Mail Sport's live coverage for the latest updates as Liverpool travel to Austria to take on LASK before Manchester City hosts reigning champions PSG in the Champions League.

We have seen all this before...

Only this time last season was the heat starting to be put on Florian Wirtz after his poor start to life at Liverpool following his £116million move.

Now, that heat is only getting hotter, but he is also now sharing it with £123m man Bradley Barcola, who has not exactly gotten off to an electric start at the Reds.

The Frenchman struggled once again on Sunday, failing to notch up a goal or assist against Manchester City, which means he has now gone six games without one at the start of his Anfield career.

Now, it's still early days, but that is a slightly worrying start and one very familiar to that made by Mr. Wirtz.

The Frenchman will be desperate to make some sort of contribution tonight to take that little bit of weight off his shoulders.

It's a big night for Barcola.

There is our question answered.

Florian Wirtz does indeed keep his place in the Liverpool starting line-up, as does fellow mega-money signing Bradley Barcola.

Victor Munoz is dropped despite his perky performance against Manchester City, with young Rio Ngumoha coming in.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk is given a rest, with fellow countryman Jeremie Frimpong coming in at right back.

There is also a start for Trey Nyoni alongside Ryan Gravenberch.

Right, let's get straight into the thick of things.

The Liverpool team news has been announced and we are set to find out whether Florian Wirtz keeps his place in the side after yet another disappointing afternoon against Manchester City on Sunday.

There have been plenty of people, including Liverpool fans, calling for the German to be put on the bench due to his displays in red. But will Andoni Iraola take their advice?

Let's be real, it is not like he has heaps of options right now.

Before we get stuck into the build-up, lets take a quick look at that 'blockbuster' set of fixtures I have talked about.

I'm telling you, there are some real belters in this set of nine.

Here are tonight's fixtures:

What. A. Night.

Now that is the dramatic style I normally use after the fact, when we have seen a bonkers night og Champions League footie. But having looked at the schedule this evening, I know we are already in for one.

The competition returned with a bang, as it always does. Goals and shocks galore, all over the place. But that was just the appetiser for what is to come this evening.

We start with a nice little starter: Liverpool take on Austrian side LASK in Linz, before we move on to the mouth-watering affair of Manchester City vs PSG.

No matter what you think of City right now, we all have our opinions... believe me, it is still going to be a cracker of a fixture. A real treat.

Anyway, let's first turn our focus to Austria and Liverpool, who are trying to bounce back from what was a frankly strange defeat to City on Sunday.

Let's get this show on the road.
