Arsenal have told staff they are planning to cut 60 jobs, just months after the club ended their 22-year wait for the Premier League title.
The redundancies will focus on off-field areas, and not affect the coaching or backroom staff of the men's or women's teams, the club’s community operation, the Arsenal Foundation and security staff.
The news comes just a week after Arsenal announced Mikel Arteta had signed a lucrative four-year contract worth around £20million per year, making him the highest paid manager in the top flight.
In February, the north London club said they had almost broken even for the 2024-25 financial year, recording an overall loss of £1.4m, while announcing record revenues of £691m.
High-profile departures in recent months include chief commercial officer Juliet Slot and long-serving general counsel Svenja Geissmar.
Staff were told by the club on Tuesday that 60 jobs will be cut
