Fenerbahce have made it clear that they have no intention of signing Real Madrid versatile attacker Brahim Diaz.

A club official has denied that the Turkish giants are interested in recruiting the Real Madrid player during the upcoming January transfer window, describing reports of a potential deal as “unfounded rumours” in comments to 365Scores (h/t SPORT ).

Reports of a January move dismissed

The official categorically denied any interest in signing the Morocco international in early 2027. They also insisted that Fenerbahce are not currently considering a move for him and suggested that the player’s representatives could be behind the reports.

The denial comes after several media outlets linked Fenerbahce with Brahim ahead of the winter transfer window.

Reports had suggested that the Turkish club could prepare a bid for the versatile attacker, potentially taking advantage of the competition for places at Real Madrid and the difficulty Brahim has faced in securing regular playing time.

However, for now, Fenerbahce have firmly distanced themselves from the reports, insisting that they are uninterested in a deal for Brahim.

Brahim’s future at Real Madrid remains uncertain

So far this term, the 27-year-old has only played 178 minutes across four games in all competitions, with only one start. The likes of Arda Guler and Yan Diomande are clearly ahead of him in the pecking order.

As such, his current situation has fuelled speculation about his future. The attacker is looking for more minutes and greater continuity, which could lead him to consider other options if he fails to establish a more prominent role at the Bernabeu.

Apart from the now dismissed links with Fenerbahce, Brahim is also understood to be attracting interest from Italy, with Juventus, in particular, being keen on the Moroccan international .

Brahim’s next move will depend on whether his situation at Real Madrid changes in the coming months and the opportunities available to him in the January transfer window.

His most recent contract with the Spanish club runs until 2027, although his renewal until 2030 is understood to be a done deal.
