Supporters of the Norwegian club Viking FK reportedly set off fireworks near Bayern Munich’s team hotel at 1:30 AM ahead of the Champions League clash, apparently deciding that a good night’s s leep for the visitors was optional.
Forget tactical analysis, pressing triggers, or studying Vincent Kompany’s sys tem. The game plan apparently includes a little amateur pyrotechnics and hoping the Bayern Munich squad wakes up on the wrong sid e of the bed.
Hey…it can’t hurt!
To be fair, Viking is preparing for one of th e biggest matches in their club’s history. The underdogs will need every possible advantage against a Bayern Munich side packed wit h world-class talent. If a few fireworks can get the fans fired up and make the visitors a little less comfortable, they are certainly going to give it a shot.

Unfortunately for Viking, there is one small problem with this strategy — Bayern Munich has Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Díaz. These are not exactly the sort of players you want facing you when they are motivated to t ake out their frustration on the opposition.
Congratulations to Viking’s supporters for winning the pre-match battle of who c an make the most noise at 1:30 AM. Now let us see if their team can make some noise when the actual football star ts.
