Cole Palmer has been told his actions after Chelsea's win against Bournemouth aren't 'good enough'.

Cole Palmer has received strong criticism as a video emerged online showing what he did after Chelsea's win against Bournemouth.

The England star missed out on representing his country during the international break, but was back in action for the Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. Palmer set up Jordan Henderson's goal in the second minute before helping his team to a 5-1 victory.

A video emerged on social media on Saturday night, showing the 24-year-old exiting Stamford Bridge following the game, but many people weren't happy with his actions.

Palmer was with his girlfriend as fans swarmed around him, trying to get a picture or autograph with the Chelsea star. However, he kept his head down and kept moving.

The clip has sparked backlash from large sections of social media, mainly because Palmer didn't even acknowledge some of the young supporters trying to get his attention.

"Disgusting way to treat young fans," one social media user responded. Another was less diplomatic, simply saying: "What a pr."

The sentiment among many fans is that Palmer could find time to stop and greet some of the younger supporters. One said: "Getting paid £220,000 a week and you can’t stop for a few minutes to make a kid's day?"

The Chelsea star was a boyhood Manchester United fan, but had no hesitation in snubbing Old Trafford.

One X user slammed the 'disgraceful' video, pointing out the young boy with Palmer's name on his shirt: "Not a good look. The kid had Cole Palmer's name on his back, so obviously he's his idol, yet he treats the kid like s! Disgraceful."

> "Cole Palmer needs to learn from Declan Rice and Harry Kane, who are perfect examples of how superstar footballers should interact with the fans who pay the money that makes these players multi-millionaires by the time they reach their 20th birthday."

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan expressed his disappointment after seeing the clip . "If you don't want to be bothered [by fans], don't walk in the street," the owner-turned-broadcaster exclaimed.

> "He's a young player, Cole, and when he matures and gets older and maybe has a family of his own, he might understand what it's like to be a young supporter. He probably was one himself in the beginning.

> "I didn't like what I watched; I didn't think that's right. I think that young players need to remember that young supporters are highly influenced by their heroes. They regard them as heroes."

Jordan ended his verdict by saying: "I suspect he'll catch some flak from it. Because it's not a good look, it's not right."
