Barcelona have confirmed their squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray in Istanbul, with Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong and Andreas Christensen among the notable absentees.
Hansi Flick must prepare for the European fixture without several players dealing with fitness problems, while Roony Bardghji is also unavailable for the trip to Turkey.
The absence of Raphinha is particularly significant after the Brazilian winger returned from international duty with an injury.
Although his issue is not major , Barcelona do not intend to aggravate a small problem and want him to recover fully before being introduced on the field.
Raphinha out against Galatasaray
Raphinha will not travel to Istanbul after picking up an injury while on duty with Brazil.
The recurring nature of his fitness problems has frustrated Flick, who will once again have to adjust his attacking options for a demanding Champions League away fixture.
As such, Barcelona will need contributions from their other forwards to compensate for the Brazilian’s absence.
De Jong and Christensen remain unavailable

Frenkie de Jong is continuing his recovery after arriving from the World Cup with an injury.
The Dutch midfielder opted for conservative treatment rather than surgery and has begun training on the pitch, including some work alongside his teammates.
However, he is not yet ready to return to the matchday squad.
Christensen is also missing after suffering a muscle injury during Barcelona’s match against Sevilla. His latest physical problem has prevented him from joining the travelling group.
Lastly, Bardghji completes the list of absentees mentioned ahead of the trip, leaving Flick with fewer options as Barcelona prepare for their European assignment.
Apart from these four players, Flick has all the other stars available, and he is expected to rotate some positions after a demanding win over Getafe.
