El Sardinero hosts a tense clash in the top flight of Spanish football, with Racing de Santander and Valencia desperately seeking three points to give themselves some breathing room in the standings.
The Cantabrian side, led by José López, have endured an inconsistent start on their return to the top flight. Despite winning two of their last five matches, their recent 5-0 thrashing by Celta exposed defensive frailties. To get back to winning ways, the hosts are counting on the goalscoring instincts of 20-year-old forward Pablo García, their main attacking threat.
Valencia's situation, meanwhile, is alarming. Javier Aguirre's men have lost four of their last five league matches and sit bottom of the table. Severely depleted by a string of absences up front and at right-back, Los Che head into this away fixture with no room for error.
