'Not an NFL Player' - Eagles Starter Blasted For 'Awful' Display v Jaguars in London

Philadelphia Eagles fans are slamming one of their players after their clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

GiveMeSport's Senior Editor James Stroud was present at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the second NFL London Game of the 2026 season between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars . One Eagles player has come under serious fire for his performance during the match.

Jacksonville Jaguars were the designated home team for the week five matchup in London, but you wouldn't have thought it. The large majority of fans inside Tottenham Hotspur stadium were cheering on the NFC East side, and they were vociferous in their support throughout. Despite that, it was Jaguars who won a thriller.

The AFC South side, who were the favourites going into the contest, thought they had taken the lead on the first play of the game, but Josh Cameron's 90-yard kickoff return was ruled out due to a penalty during the play. They did manage to open the scoring 10 minutes later when Trevor Lawrence found Parker Washington for a 51-yard touchdown.

Eagles bounced back in style in the second quarter. They restored parity when Will Shipley, starting in place of the injured Saquon Barkley, found the end zone, and then took the lead when Jalen Hurts connected with Jalen Cooper for a 62-yard touchdown. A heroic stop from the Eagles defence ensured they went into half-time with a seven-point lead.

Liam Coen's side cut the deficit in the third quarter courtesy of Cam Little's 34-yard field goal. Lawrence and Washington then combined once again with just over three minutes of the match remaining to give Jaguars the lead once more.

Little missed his resulting point-after-touchdown try, and that looked as if it would prove to be costly. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense marched down the field and Eagles kicker Jake Elliott gave them a two-point lead with eight seconds remaining.

Incredibly, Jaguars still found a way to win. Yasir Abdullah's sensational return gave Little the chance to make amends and win it from 57 yards. With one second remaining on the clock, Little's 57-yard try split the goal posts, giving his side a 19-17 victory.

Eagles' starting safety, Andrew Mukuba, has been slammed online for his performance. The 23-year-old, who was taken in the second round (64th overall) of the 2025 NFL draft, did not cover himself in glory for Washington's first-quarter touchdown.

Mukuba took a bad angle, allowing Jaguars' star receiver to break free and open the scoring. Former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho criticised Mukuba following the play, saying that it should have resulted in a five-yard gain or an incompletion.

The play, as well as his performance for the rest of the match, has led to severe criticism from his own fans on social media.

One fan said:

> 'Mukuba is such trash. Never in the right spot. Never makes the play.'

A second commented:

> 'Andrew Mukuba can not be the starting safety for this team. Can't cover in man, and takes the absolute worst tackling angles.'

A third wrote:

> 'Andrew Mukuba makes a major mistake in coverage at least once a week. We gotta figure that out,'

while another stated:

> 'I cannot stress this enough. Andrew Mukuba is not an NFL player.'

A fifth said:

> 'Fire Mukuba into the sun! That is all! Should've signed or traded for a safety!'

A sixth wrote:

> 'Andrew Mukuba is awful. He’s small, can’t tackle or cover, and never in the right spot. What a waste of a 2nd round pick. '

The Jaguars have improved to 4-1 for the season and currently lead the AFC South. Liam Coen's side have now won three matches in a row and will look to keep the momentum going when they contest the third and final NFL London Game of 2026 against the Houston Texans on Sunday, October 18 at Wembley Stadium.

Nick Sirriani's side have fallen to 2-3 on the season after their devastating defeat. They will look to bounce back when they welcome the Carolina Panthers to Lincoln Financial Field in week six.
