Inter Milan Fans Make Curtis Jones Feelings Clear After 5 Games

· GiveMeSport

Inter Milan supporters appear have made up their minds about Curtis Jones after just five appearances for the Italian giants.

Jones completed a surprise £30 million move to Inter in August after spending his entire career with boyhood club Liverpool , the team he joined aged nine.

> "It's a club that I've wanted to join for a while now so I'm excited," Jones said at the time. “I’m a Scouse kid who came all the way through [at Liverpool] but I'm at a point now when I want to take the next step and I think this is the perfect club."

It was a courageous move by the England international. Staying at Liverpool and fighting for his place would have been the easier option, but instead he decided to test himself by joining the Italian champions.

Jones made his Inter debut against Cagliari at the end of August and left fans wanting to see more after his cameo performance.

A week later, Jones earned more praise from the Inter supporters for his energetic display in a 3-2 win over Napoli at San Siro.

Jones has now made five appearances for the Nerazzurri but missed Saturday’s 3-0 league win over Parma through injury.

The former Liverpool midfielder faces three to four weeks on the sidelines after sustaining an adductor injury.

However, five appearances have been enough for Jones to completely endear himself to the club’s supporters.

Footage has emerged of a coach full of Inter fans wearing Curtis Jones masks, singing: “Curtis Jones, Curtis Jones, call me Curtis Jones. Curtis Jones, Curtis Jones, get up now!” to the 1997 tune of Doctor Jones by Aqua. Watch the video below:

It’s taken no time at all for Jones to settle at Inter and the club’s fans have welcomed him with open arms.

> "I just feel at home with the lads. Since the first day, they've been unbelievable and so I can just be myself. Of course I've got a point to prove but I know that if I'm just myself, the lads will like me, the staff and the fans as well," Jones said in September, per GOAL .

Jones has also been full of praise for Inter boss Cristian Chivu, who was instrumental in the Englishman’s decision to move to Italy.

> "There’s a reason I came here: the phone calls we had, how the team plays, his tactical ideas, and how he works every single day," Jones explained to DAZN.

> "It’s the small things he says, things that might seem minor but end up having a massive impact. Plus, he has immense experience and played at the highest level himself. He’s managed the squad brilliantly. He’s ‘one of us,’ and to me, that’s fundamental."
