Diego Simeone’s men started their match perfectly thanks to Alejandro Grimaldo, who scored in the 33rd minute on an assist from Jonathan David. But the locals reacted just before the break, with an equalizer from Lucas Boyé from the penalty spot in added time of the first act.
The second half was marked by the expulsion of Ángel Pérez in the 61st minute, after intervention by the VAR, which transformed his yellow card into a red.
