Rayo Vallecano head into their match against Athletic Club with a significant late withdrawal. Full-back Andrei Rațiu will not be available for the game.

The Romanian international had been playing through various physical issues for an extended period. Given the situation, the player and the club have agreed that he should take a break.

The aim of this joint decision is to give the player adequate rest, allowing him to complete his recovery and return to the pitch fully fit.

His absence is strictly for medical reasons, rather than a decision by the coach. Pelayo and Rayane, on the other hand, have been left out of the squad for tactical reasons.

The positive news for Beñat San José is the return of four players to the squad. Isi, Luiz Felipe, Jozhua Vertrouwd and Nteka are back in contention after recovering from their injuries.
