Arteta's New Contract: Arsenal's Key to Future Success
· GiveMeSport
Arsenal could be about to complete their best bit of business since signing Declan Rice
Since Arteta arrived at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners have gone from strength to strength.
It may have taken them a while to get to where they want to be, but they've now built a complete squad with phenomenal depth.
Arteta has to take a lot of credit, as many managers have come and gone since Arsene Wenger and failed to deliver success.
Arsenal also deserve credit for sticking with Arteta through their slow start, but there's no doubt he has completely transformed them.
The Spanish manager has spent six years at Arsenal, making him the longest-serving manager in both the Premier League and the EFL. Arsenal were finally rewarded for their patience with Arteta.
Last season, of course, the Gunners lifted the Premier League title while they also reached the Champions League final. This season, the North London club appears to be playing with a bit more freedom, looking deadly in attack and strong, as per usual, in defence.
According to a report from the BBC, Arsenal are close to finalising a new contract with manager Arteta .
This news should be music to the ears of all Arsenal supporters, as securing Arteta for another few years is the best bit of business they've done since signing midfielder Rice.
Arteta has been patient himself, slowly building a squad that has two or three top-quality players in each position.
The Arsenal boss has developed a style which makes them incredibly difficult to break down, which is hugely beneficial in the Champions League but also exciting going forward.
Arsenal are also experts at scoring from set pieces, so when they are struggling to produce a bit of magic in the final third, they can rely on scoring from dead-ball situations.
After lifting the Premier League title, Arsenal's next goal will be to go one step further in the Champions League.
Having some continuity heading into the next few years with Arteta remaining as manager could be crucial, especially with so many sides changing their managers.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all among the sides who have changed managers heading into the new season.
Arsenal are now a fully settled side, and everyone knows exactly what the manager expects of them.
