Zinédine Zidane decided to start Guillaume Restes in the French team’s goal against Belgium, thus offering the Toulouse goalkeeper his first start with the Blues. A decision taken by the coach at a press conference after the victory at the Stade de France, who appreciated the performance of his goalkeeper but also his behavior during the entire rally.
> “He was great, not just during the match but throughout the course. My three goalkeepers were great. Even Jean Butez was impeccable in his work. I made this decision to play Guillaume because he needs to feel what it is like to play in the French team, not only in training but on the pitch, in a match, if anything happens with Mike (Maignan). »
