A serious candidate for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, Fabián Ruiz continues to entertain the idea of a return to Betis, his training club and heart. Present at a press conference before Spain’s match against Croatia, the PSG midfielder once again displayed his attachment to the Andalusian team and assured that he wishes to end his career there. "I've always said it, I try to watch all the matches and I'm happy with their good results. I'm a Betis supporter, everyone knows that"he said. Before specifying, with conviction: "I would like to end my career here, it is not the time, but it will surely happen in the future. »

Fabián Ruiz also took advantage of his time in Seville to remember Betis' landmark 3-5 derby victory in January 2018, when he was still wearing the Verdiblanco jersey. A memory that remains particularly strong for him: "I have good memories of it. It was my first victory in a derby, my first goal, it was Epiphany… It was magical, I hope we do as well tomorrow"he remembered. Words which once again confirm the very strong link between the PSG player and Betis.
