Hello and welcome to Mirror Football's live blog on Tuesday, October 6, where we will bring you the latest on the guilty verdict for Manchester City after breaching Premier League financial rules.

Last Tuesday, the Premier League confirmed that City had been found guilty on 114 of the 115 charges, stating that the club used 'sham' sponsorship deals to inflate their income by almost £900million during the nine-year period.

City, however, have denied any wrongdoing and appealed the decision last Thursday. The club believe they are "innocent of the accusations made by the Premier League" and say they have "a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence" to support their case.

One argument City are said to be using during the appeal is that the extra funding came from the Abu Dhabi government and not the club's owners, Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), something which is allowed under Premier League rules. However, a statement from the main sponsors, Etihad, back in 2015, appears to contradict it.

There is still a lot of talk over what could happen. Stay right here for all of the latest...
