Crystal Palace Set to Agree £120,000-a-Week Deal With Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace are set to agree a deal with an 'incredible' star worth £120,,000-a-week.
Crystal Palace are on the verge of agreeing a new long-term deal with forward Ismaila Sarr.
The Eagles were able to keep hold of almost all of their top stars during the summer transfer window, with Daniel Munoz and Maxence Lacroix the only players allowed to move on, with manager Oliver Glasner also leaving and being replaced by Pierre Sage.
Palace were able to fight off interest in star midfielder Adam Wharton as well as Sarr, who Liverpool had made a formal bid for at the end of the window, but have started the new season poorly, with just one win in their first five games in the Premier League, while they did win their first Europa League game of the campaign.
Sarr has featured for just eight minutes in the Premier League so far, having been dealing with an injury in the early part of the season, while also choosing not to play against Everton as he tried to force through a move to Liverpool.
However, with that deal not going through, Palace have now made it a priority to try and tie his prime years down at Selhurst Park, and it has now emerged that he is closing in on finding an agreement to do just that.
The Senegal star is understood to be on the brink of an agreement on a new contract worth £120,000-a-week, and it will run for three or four years, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Palace understand that the player has fallen down the pecking order in their pay tables following recent arrivals, despite becoming one of the most important players at the club in recent years.
Sarr scored 21 goals in all competitions for the south London club last season, helping the team lift the Conference League title and Community Shield in the process. Now he is set to earn a big pay rise, which will put him in line with the club's top earners, cementing him as a key star.
Ismaila Sarr's Statistics 2025/26 (League Only)
- Appearances: 28 - Goals: 9 - Assists: 1 - Shots per 90: 1.99 - Expected Goals per 90: 0.45 - Key Passes per 90: 0.79 - Expected Assists per 90: 0.05
Sarr, who Palace have described as 'incredible', is likely to become a key player once again this season now that he has returned to fitness, and manager Sage will be delighted about that news.
After bringing in ten new players during the transfer window, including forwards Zavier Gozo, Dwight McNeil, and Dario Osorio, Sarr's absence has been felt dearly, and bringing him back into the fold with his future sorted and him happy will go a long way to him discovering his best form.
Having seen a host of top stars leave in recent years, and the expectation being that Wharton will join that list in 2027, Steve Parish has done an excellent job holding on to Sarr for the peak of his years, or at the very least ensuring that Palace will get a huge pay day if he moves on.
