Liam Gallagher's Daughter Has a Baby With Former Liverpool Player

· GiveMeSport

Man City superfan Liam Gallagher's daughter is dating and has a baby with a Jurgen Klopp-era Liverpool player.

When it comes to celebrity football fans , Liam and Noel Gallagher are among the most vocal. The Oasis frontmen have long stood by Manchester City and continue to do so despite the recent guilty verdict.

An independent Commission has found the Etihad club guilty of all charges related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules . While City have appealed, many are calling for the club to be stripped of past titles and handed over big sanctions.

Amid all the outrage, Liam Gallagher has been busy online defending his club. The lead singer even claimed that he'd been told that the punishment would only be a fine and a transfer ban if the appeal is unsuccessful.

Ironically, though, his daughter is dating a former Liverpool defender who played under Jurgen Klopp . As such, the 29-year-old may actually hope to see City stripped of past titles and the awards belatedly sent to Anfield.

In October 2025, Liam Gallagher became a grandad after his daughter, Molly Moorish-Gallagher, welcomed her first child with his boyfriend. The father in question just so happens to be Nat Phillips, who she has been dating since 2022.

Phillips is best remembered for his time with Liverpool between 2019 and 2025. An injury crisis saw the centre-back become a regular in the 2020/21 season, as he made 17 appearances in the Premier League .

In total, he played 29 times for the Reds, but was sent out on loan to the likes of VfB Stuttgart, Bournemouth, Celtic, Cardiff City and Derby County while still on the club's books. He then left in 2025, joining his current team, West Bromwich Albion, in the Championship .

If City are stripped of any titles, Liverpool could retroactively be named Premier League champions in 2013/14, as the guilty charges related to financial breaches between 2009 and 2018. Phillips wasn't at Anfield then, but he may still be keen to see his old teammates handed out some belated trophies, even if it wouldn't make Liam Gallagher too happy.

The history books could soon look very different.

Phillips has spoken about his relationship with the Oasis star, explaining in 2023 that they really discussed footballing loyalties . He told The Herald:

> “We’ve never really got into that. We have obviously met but only a few times. Every time I’ve met him, he’s been fine with me, which is ideal as a son-in-law.”

Liam once referenced his daughter's relationship on social media after Man City lost 3-1 to Liverpool in the 2022 Community Shield. A cheeky Liverpool supporter said: "Nat Phillips will be doing all kinds of celebrating tonight." To which Liam retorted: "Not in my house he won't."

In terms of reacting to the Man City news, brother Noel spoke emotionally about how the guilty ruling had left him 'sad' and 'surprised' but insisted that even though others may now doubt Man City's achievements, they could never take away the emotion he felt at the time. He explained:

> "Does it taint it? I suppose in the eyes of everyone else in England it would, but I know what I saw and I know what I felt."

Liam has been typically less measured with his comments on social media, claiming that Man City are comparable to Jesus, and it's the other Premier League clubs who are corrupt. He said:

> "All this hatred directed at MAN CITY from other clubs should be directed at ARSENAL, MAN UTD, LIVERPOOL. They are the ones who are corrupt and trying to stop other teams from winning things, not MAN CITY. We're trying to help you all out were like Jesus prepared to die on the cross."

One can only imagine the conversation if the topic ever comes up between the Oasis singer and former Liverpool man Phillips.
