Premier League Clubs Don’t Want Man City Kicked Out

Premier League clubs have now made feelings clear about whether they wish Man City to be kicked out
With Manchester City facing the harshest punishments football has ever seen following an independent commission's verdict that the Cityzens had been found guilty of all 115 financial breaches, their Premier League rivals have now revealed their stance on whether or not they wish to kick them out of the top flight.
Among the biggest charges they face is in relation to 'sham' sponsorships, which meant the UAE-owned club were able to inflate their actual revenue by more than £800 million.
While Man City have since lodged an appeal , there is already talk around the severity of punishments they face - which include being stripped of their titles and expelled from the English football pyramid.
A decision on their fate is now expected by early 2027, as per severl reports. But until then, nearly everyone has formed an opinion on what it should entail.
According to a report from The Telegraph, as cited by the Daily Express , Premier League clubs aren't looking to remove Enzo Maresca's from the division. Expulsion would be one of the worst punishments for City, as it wouldn't guarantee them their spot in the English Football League.
The report claims there has been some misunderstanding surrounding what an expulsion would look like, with suggestions a vote wouldn't be needed. However, it states some executives at clubs aren't looking for the Premier League and independent commission to pursue this route.
Some of the reasoning behind this stance, which is undoubtedly going to be unpopular among fans of the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United - all of whom could still be in line for retrospective awarding of honours - is that clubs fear another European Super League scandal being the repurcussion.
