Sell Bentancur and Gallagher: Tottenham Must Fund Move for Alex Scott Next

Tottenham need him despite their major summer transfer overhaul
Tottenham Hotspur may have completed a 10-player transfer overhaul during the summer, but there is a feeling that there are still some weaknesses in Roberto De Zerbi's squad.
Tottenham chiefs, on the instruction of De Zerbi, strengthened all parts of the team, but it hasn't been enough to stop them lying bottom of the Premier League table as we enter October.
Spurs' defensive options look strong even though they didn't sign a like-for-like replacement for Djed Spence, but some fans may argue that they still need a new number one goalkeeper.
The north London outfit made a number of additions to their attack too, but again some supporters may feel that the lack of an addition of a specialist centre-forward was a summer shortcoming, having scored just two goals in five Premier League matches so far.
With Dejan Kulusevski soon to be back in action and Xavi Simons said to be ahead of schedule in his return from injury, Tottenham are well stocked on the wings and in the No.10 position.
Another position where there are still some question marks despite a £185m summer spend is in central midfield, where many may have expected Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes to regularly start alongside each other in Spurs' engine room.
Neither player has really lived up to their price tag so far this season, and instead we have seen starts for the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Conor Gallagher instead.
It feels like De Zerbi still doesn't know his strongest midfield set-up as we approach the end of the international break, and it is something that the Italian needs to find a solution to soon, because if performances and results don't improve, then his job will be under serious threat.
Tottenham's midfield make-up still doesn't seem right, and further changes are needed in 2027 to get them where they need to be.
There is an obvious answer to the problem and a player the club should be going all out to sign next year, Bournemouth's Alex Scott.
The 23-year-old made his England debut as a substitute in the 2-0 win against Czechia this week, and he showed the qualities he consistently displays for the Cherries that have seen him become a target for the majority of the top six Premier League clubs.

According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs in May, Tottenham were one of the clubs looking at signing Alex Scott , who the south coast outfit would love to tie down to a new contract.
Scott has already rejected two rounds of contract renewal talks, as he looks to secure a move to a bigger club, but Bournemouth have made it clear that he won't be going anywhere in the January transfer window, according to the BBC .
Even though he is now entering the final 18 months of his contract at the Vitality Stadium, journalist Dean Jones claims that he is valued at around the £95m mark .
Potential suitors would surely be confident they would be able to land Scott for a lower fee than that by next summer, and he is a player that Tottenham should have high on their shortlist, especially as he is a self-confessed fan of the club.
> Yes, I support Tottenham, though that doesn't have much to do with today. But growing up as a kid, it was definitely a dream for me [to score against Arsenal]. Bournemouth are my team at the minute but I was a Tottenham fan growing up, so as a kid growing up, I would have been really happy with that.
He would be the missing piece of the puzzle in central midfield, but they may also need to fund the move.
One solution is to cash in on players who may not have a long-term future in the De Zerbi project, and who perhaps aren't good enough to go to the next level with the club.
Bentancur and Gallagher are two primary candidates who fit into this category who the club could bring in money for, and it would be worth it if they replace the duo with Scott.
The Bournemouth star has made it clear with his affiliation to Tottenham that he would give everything for the club and be proud to wear the shirt, and it really is a no-brainer transfer if they can pull it off.
Spurs will be looking to kickstart their season when they return to action after the international break
