Erling Haaland's Feeling After Man City Were Found Guilty - Teammate
· GiveMeSport
Details have emerged about Haaland with City now in a world of trouble…
Manchester City's 114 guilty verdicts have been headline news for the best part of a week now, and their future in the Premier League is up in the air.
The Cityzens were found guilty on 'virtually all' charges by the Premier League, with every charge regarding financial breaches proven, while they were also found guilty on three out of four charges over their lack of cooperation with the investigation.
City are set to appeal the verdicts, but reports suggest the punishments could be severe if the verdicts stand. could see them relegated with a points deduction, have historic titles stripped, and even be kicked out of football entirely.
The appeal process could yet take up to 12 weeks , GIVEMESPORT sources understand, but the situation is likely to be taking an impact on a number of City's players with such big scrutiny being placed upon the club.
However, it has now been revealed how one star in particular is reacting to the situation.
Erling Haaland is currently on international duty with Norway, having scored three times in their two games against Denmark and Portugal so far during the break. That's in addition to the seven goals he has scored for Man City so far this season.
There has been speculation over the future of the striker, with a number of clubs understood to be paying close attention to his situation should City find themselves needing to sell depending on their punishment. Real Madrid are the favourites should he move , but while speaking on international duty, his Norway teammate and Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer has revealed how he has reacted to the news.
> "He's been exactly the way he's always the same with the national team. > > "He's truly focused on the upcoming games. I think he's trying to do the same as everyone else, wait and see what the outcome is - but right now the main focus is Wales tomorrow night. That's clearly been his way of doing it."
Ajer was then asked if he has seen a difference in the 26-year-old since the news emerged, and said:
> "No not at all. Ever since I met him brings lot of energy and joy to the group. > > "The biggest compliment I always give is that he hasn't changed a bit from the moment I met him even though he's the biggest star on the planet right now. > > "He's been exactly the same the last few days as well which is not a surprise for me."
Haaland will now prepare for a Nations League clash with Wales on Thursday night, before a second meeting against Portugal in Lisbon on Sunday.
He will then return to Man City for their return to Premier League action, when they take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, October 11th, where all of the talk around the charges, the punishments, and his future, will likely ramp up even more.
Reports emerged that the Norwegian has a relegation release clause in his City contract, but that has been denied.
