Manchester City Player Wages [2026]

· GiveMeSport

Every Manchester City player's wages from the ever-reliable Erling Haaland to the new signing Elliot Anderson.

Seemingly by virtue of being perennial winners of the Premier League for the last decade or so, Manchester City – and their boardroom bosses, in particular – always tend to have plenty of cash to splash on new signings. The same goes for the club's weekly wage bill, with some of their players being the best-paid in the entirety of England’s top flight.

That said, after an independent Commission found City guilty of all charges related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules , there are now doubts over the validity of that financial outlay. For now, though, the club continues to operate at the very peak of English football.

Enzo Maresca is looking to try and replicate the incredible work done by Pep Guardiola from the 2026-27 season onwards. While that's an extremely difficult task, he's inherited a well-paid and highly talented squad of players and added even more quality in the summer window.

It’s no secret that Manchester City are not afraid to pay their players big bucks in their attempts to cement their status as England’s dominant force – but how much exactly is each player, from the talismanic Erling Haaland to youth talent Ryan McAidoo, lining their pockets with on a weekly basis?

Players out on loan have not been included.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, one of the world's best goalkeepers, was signed from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, just when it looked like James Trafford was poised to become Manchester City's No. 1. Trafford has now moved on to Leeds United after Donnarumma, who pockets a cool £275,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium, cemented his position as the club's first-choice 'keeper.

Man City signed Argentina international Geronimo Rulli as their back-up goalkeeper following Trafford's exit. The 34-year-old is earning £65,000 every week after leaving Marseille.

City's third-choice goalkeeper, Marcus Bettinelli, earns a very cool £35,000 per week. That's an awful lot of money to pay someone who's unlikely to ever get any minutes.

Given the plethora of talent Maresca and his entourage have at their disposal from a defensive standpoint, there are very few dead-certs. The closest thing to that is £260,000-per-week earner Josko Gvardiol , who can play at centre-back or on the left of a four-man defensive setup. He signed a lucrative new long-term contract with City in July.

Only two defenders earn a similar amount of money as the Croatian. Ruben Dias, cited as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League right now , also earns £260k per week. But Marc Guehi, who joined City from Crystal Palace in January 2026 is the club's best-paid defender, making £270k per week.

The likes of Matheus Nunes and Abdukodir Khusanov are well-paid, making over £100,000 per weekk per week each. Elsewhere, Nico O'Reilly has been tremendous since breaking into the first team. The youngster, who earns a relatively modest £60,000 per week, is now one of the first names on the teamsheet. Another pay rise is surely on the horizon for the England international.

Rico Lewis – initially viewed as Kyle Walker's natural replacement at right-back – is on £40,000 a week and, as things stand, his future at the club is in the air. Elsewhere, Rayan Ait-Nouri is on £130,000 a week, Adbukodir Khusanov is paid £100,000 per week, and Vitor Reis earns £50,000 every seven days. Youngster Josh Wilson-Esbrand makes just £15,000 per week.

Things didn't go as smoothly as expected for Manchester City in the previous two seasons – and that can be largely attributed to Rodri ’s absence and recovery period. The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner and his £220,000 per week wages are now off the books following his move to Barcelona. The same can be said for Tijjani Reijnders, who was earning an eye-watering £230,000 per week at the Etihad Stadium before his departure to Al-Qadsiah.

Elliot Anderson became one of Man City's highest-paid players when he joined the club in a £116m move from Nottingham Forest. He penned a six-year deal worth £250,000 per week. Enzo Fernandez is earning a hefty £350,000 every week, per SalaryLeaks , following his £125 million Deadline Day move from Chelsea.

Midfielder Mateo Kovacic pockets £150,000 every week, double the salary of Nico Gonzalez, who has since been sold to Newcastle United.

After losing Rodri, Nico and Reijnders, City have bolstered their midfield options with the exciting signing of 18-year-old Ayyoub Bouaddi. The teenager set City back an astronomical £86 million after an agreement with Lille was reached in the summer. He will earn £150,000 a week to reflect his high-profile move.

Meanwhile, promising youngster Claudio Echeverri - who can play in attacking midfield or from the wing - was making £15,000 every seven days but he's been loaned to Benfica for the season.

After putting pen to paper on a new nine-and-a-half-year contract, staying at the club until 2034, Haaland is now the Premier League’s highest earner at £525,000 per week. The enigmatic Norwegian, 26, has left plenty of goalscoring records in ruins at his feet and, as long as he stays fit, he’s only poised to continue.

Jack Grealish, who earns £300,000-per-week, fell out of favour under Guardiola. He spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Everton has returned there for a second temporary spell, with Maresca seemingly happy to let the Englishman go.

Manchester City's Omar Marmoush was being paid handsomely following his January 2025 move from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, the Egyptian's £295,000 wages are now off the books with a loan move to Tottenham (with an obligation) completed this summer. Savio has also been offloaded to Spurs.

Academy graduate Phil Foden , despite having a tough 2025-26 campaign, put pen to paper on a new deal this summer. His wages have increased from £225,000 per week to £300,000 per week.

Mercurial French forward Rayan Cherki is currently among the club's highest earners on £200,000 a week, but fellow winger Jeremy Doku makes even more.

Doku has earned a hefty pay increase – up to £280,000 per week – following a solid 2025-26 campaign in which he scored eight goals in 47 appearances. Maresca will be expecting even more from the Belgian this term. If not, he could lose his spot in the place to new arrival Iliman Ndiaye, who has completed a move from Everton reported to be worth £65m. He's now on the same wage as Antoine Semenyo, with both men making £180,000 every week.

Elsewhere, 22-year-old winger Allan - who joined City in a £34.2 million deal from Palmeiras on August 31 - earns half as much. The Brazilian is said to make £50,000 per week in England. But teenage talent Ryan McAidoo surprisingly sits at the bottom of the list for attackers, still making a reasonable £30,000 per week.
