Man City Found Guilty on 'Virtually All' Premier League Charges
· GiveMeSport
Manchester City have been found guilty of financial breaches in Premier League regulations, pending appeal and sanctions.
The process of Manchester City's potential charges has been ongoing for a significant period, and it appears we are now finally reaching closer to a conclusion.
Manchester City were hit with 115 different charges following an investigation into alleged breaches between 2009 and 2018.
According to Ornstein, Manchester City have been found guilty on nearly all of the charges relating to breaches of the Premier League's financial regulations. Manchester City are expected to appeal against the verdict issued by the independent commission, and the sanctions have not been decided as yet.
Ornstein claims that City have now been found guilty of all but one of the 115 charges, with the Premier League process still ongoing.
Significant elements are still to be completed, and their position remains consistent with their previous statement back in February 2023, which shows how long the process has been ongoing.
> “The club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis the Premier League board and executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair minded regulator, free from partisan influence.”
