Tottenham reportedly sent scouts to Portugal at the weekend to watch Porto's 3-1 victory over Benfica, and there's one player they should be targeting as a priority over any other.
Spurs spent significantly during the summer transfer window, but it's safe to say it's not fully worked out for them just yet.
Despite investing heavily in the squad, Spurs are bottom of the Premier League table heading into the international break, and holes still remain in Roberto De Zerbi's group.
Tottenham may need to continue offloading deadwood before they invest heavily once again, but if they want to climb back up to the European places, further reinforcements will be necessary.
Signing a striker could be one of their next priorities, with Richarlison left out of the Premier League squad and Dominic Solanke struggling to replicate the performances he produced at Bournemouth.
According to reports in Portugal, Tottenham had scouts in attendance for Porto's 3-1 victory over Benfica . One player they would have only seen a handful of minutes from is Samu Aghehowa, as he came off the bench for the Portuguese side.
That was his first appearance for the club in 223 days after overcoming an ACL injury, and his absence has been a crucial blow for Porto considering his importance.
Samu hit 13 goals in 20 league games for Porto before his injury last season, and 19 in 30 the campaign before that.
That is despite him only turning 22 this year, so he's a striker with huge potential who is already producing at a high level.
Tottenham have previously been linked with a move to sign Samu, and he's a player they should be looking to target once again.
Roberto De Zerbi is risking a mutiny behind the scenes at Tottenham after what he said following defeat to Aston Villa.
At the age of 22, Samu is already an upgrade on Solanke.
The former Bournemouth striker has struggled to perform consistently since making the move to Spurs, and he's looked like a shadow of his former self this season, especially.
Samu is a player who is only going to get better too, as long as the recent injury hasn't significantly halted his development.
Tottenham should be all over signing the Porto striker, as he's a smart long-term investment who would improve them immediately.
