Nick Woltemade Has No Future at Newcastle Under Matthias Jaissle

Nick Woltemade's loan at Juventus raises questions about his future; Bayern Munich shows interest in the striker.

Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade, who is currently on loan at Juventus, has no future at the club, and he's now attracting interest from elsewhere.

Woltemade made the move to St James' Park back in 2025, joining the club from Bundesliga side Stuttgart.

After an electric opening few weeks of his Newcastle career, Woltemade started to struggle, and he never recovered the form he produced in the opening stages.

Woltemade's style of play was always going to make it difficult for him to succeed in the Premier League. Despite his height, the German international isn't the most physical, and he doesn't have the pace to get away from defenders.

Late in the summer transfer window, Newcastle opted to allow Woltemade to head out on loan to Juventus, just 12 months after he had joined the club.

Woltemade is now attracting interest once again, with reports claiming that Bayern Munich have turned their attention to the towering striker .

The Magpies are believed to be willing to accept permanent offers for Woltemade next summer as he's not seen as part of their long-term plans.

Newcastle sanctioned Woltemade's departure after completing the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who has looked impressive during his short time at the club.

Newcastle will undoubtedly be hoping that Woltemade gets back to his best during his time at Juventus, prompting the Serie A outfit to buy him permanently.

Improved form could also see other clubs, such as Bayern, make a move to secure his signature, or Newcastle could then reap the rewards of him improving by keeping him around.

There is every chance that he's just never going to be suited to the Premier League, so the best outcome is to cash in permanently.

Newcastle made a £15m transfer mistake this summer, and Matthias Jaissle is paying the price now.

Although Matthias Jaissle won't have full say when it comes to transfers, he will undoubtedly have been consulted on whether they should have kept Woltemade.

Jaissle had the chance to work with Woltemade during pre-season, while the German forward also didn't leave until the final days of the summer transfer window.

The Newcastle boss will have been able to assess whether Woltemade is a player who could make an impact for him.

Jaissle clearly made the decision to give the green light for Woltemade's exit, so there's little chance he has a future at the club and Newcastle should look to cash in.
