According to a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia ), Bayern Munich are facing a few selection concerns ahead of tomorrow’s DFB-Pokal clash, with both Aleksandar Pavlović and Kim Min-jae listed as doubts due to injury problems. Pavlović is dealing with a calf issue, while Kim has been struggling with a knee problem.
There is some encouragement on the latter front, as Kim was spotted training with the team this afternoon. However, with Borussia Dortmund coming to town on Saturday, Bayern are unlikely to take unnecessa ry risks with either player. Getting through the cup tie is important, but having the full squad available for Der Klassiker is a major consideration.
Unfortunately, three players are definitely ruled out. Jamal Musiala, Luis Díaz, and Bara Sapoko Ndiaye will all miss tomorrow’s match, leaving Bayern with fewer options as they look to secure their place in the next round.
Aaron Danks and the coaching staff will have some decisions to make, particula rly if Pavlović and Kim are not fit enough to feature.
The priority is clear either way: get the job done against Magdeburg, avoid any further injury setbacks, and make sure Bayern Munich are as ready as possible for Dortmund on Saturday.
