As reported by Calciomercato , Juventus are also looking at Monza forward Gustavo Varela alongside fellow Serie A heavyweights Napoli and Inter.
Despite Monza not having had a flying start to their campaign, their 21-year-old summer arrival from Benfica has definitely put the league’s giants on high alert with his performances.
Varela has nine goals and an assists from his first eight appearances as a Biancorosso. Last season, while on loan at Gil Vicente, he managed seven goals and three assists in 33 appearances in the entire campaign.
Varela’s market valuation has already crossed the €20m mark. Monza, who are looking at another trying season in Serie, will want to hold on to new hero in January and hope to stay up before cashing in on him next summer.
The Portugal U21 international has a 20% sell-on clause in his €280,000-per-year Monza contract, which runs until June 2030.
