Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Sunday secured for himself a place in the recent history books of Los Blancos. This came owing to his exploits in El Clásico.

José Mourinho’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Catalunya’s capital for a crunch showdown with arch rivals Barcelona.

When all was said and done on a night to remember for all associated with Real Madrid, they emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result, to breathe fresh life into the La Liga title race.

And it was the aforementioned Mbappé who proved himself the star of the show.

After putting the visitors in front in fortunate fashion during the first-half, the Frenchman was back at it again late on, slotting home from Eduardo Camavinga’s pull-back to send all three points back to Spain’s capital.

And as alluded to above, such efforts have since given rise to a head-turning statistic.

As revealed by ‘StatMuse’ on ‘X’, Mbappé has now managed more braces against Barcelona in La Liga than Real Madrid legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
