Xavi Espart, however, will no longer be able to help Barça find a breakthrough. The youngster had to be substituted through injury just under half an hour into the game.

The 19-year-old went down after an unfortunate challenge involving Bernardo Silva. He initially played on for a few minutes but then had to signal that he needed to come off. Hansi Flick responded by bringing Alejandro Balde on for Espart.
