Crystal Palace To Make Pierre Sage Sack Decision, 5 Replacements Lined Up

Steve Parish is ready to make a final decision on the fate of his manager
Steve Parish is weighing up Pierre Sage's future as Crystal Palace boss, with the Eagles chairman set to make a quick decision on whether or not to sack the Frenchman, GIVEMESPORT understands.
Sage has only been in charge since the summer, taking over from Oliver Glasner , who decided to make the move to Nottingham Forest, but things have not gone to plan for the former Lyon and Lens boss in south London.
Palace sit 17th in the Premier League table after seven games, just one place above the relegation zone, having won just twice. They have the worst defensive record in the division and after a 5-0 humbling at the hands of their fierce rivals Brighton & Hove Albion last week, they were beaten 2-0 at home to Newcastle on Sunday.
GMS understands that Sage is now under significant pressure at Selhurst Park, with chairman Parish ready to make a final decision on his future before they face Tottenham next Saturday.
Speaking after the defeat to Newcastle, Sage said: "It's my fault because I am the coach, I gave the motivation. I prepare the situations. We played so bad it's my fault."
When asked if he thought he would be given time to turn things around at Selhurst Park he responded:
> I don't know.
If Sage is sacked, Palace already have a number of names in the frame to replace him, with some of them having been linked with the job in the summer.
Thomas Frank is out of work, having been sacked by Tottenham in the middle of last season and is appreciated by Palace. Vitor Pereira is another with Premier League experience who is out of work, having left Nottingham Forest this summer. Pereira worked with current Palace sporting director Matt Hobbs when the duo were at Wolves together.
Carlos Corboran and Robbie Keane are also names who would be under consideration, should Sage be relieved of his duties at Selhurst Park, with both also out of work currently.
Sean Dyche is another name who would be high on Palace's list of potential targets, and the former Burnley and Everton boss would be keen on a return to Premier League management, GMS understands.
The Eagles take on Spurs in the top flight on Saturday evening, with Parish set to make a final decision in the next 24 to 48 hours over whether he believes Sage is the right man to take Palace forward.
