Real Madrid icon Sergio Ramos has on Sunday evening taken to social media, to send a message of support and encouragement the way of the club’s current crop of players.

This of course comes as Los Blancos prepare to lock horns with none other than arch rivals Barcelona.

José Mourinho’s troops have made the trip to Catalunya’s capital on Sunday, for what is widely considered to be the most important fixture of the club’s campaign to date.

Fall to defeat, and Real Madrid will slip a potentially insurmountable nine points adrift of table-topping Barca. Get the better of Hansi Flick’s men, on the other hand, and the visitors will close the gap to just three points.

One player with first-hand experience of netting crucial goals in El Clásico comes in the form of the aforementioned Sergio Ramos, who will no doubt be cheering on his former club from afar this evening.

As alluded to above, ahead of the fast-approaching kick-off at the Camp Nou, stopper Ramos has therefore taken to his official Instagram account, to unveil a photo of one of his goals against Barcelona, accompanied by the caption:

> ‘This goal gave us a wonderful league. Let’s go with everything Real Madrid.’
