There are some players who seem destined to play for a particular football club at some stage in their career.

Michael Olise and Real Madrid feel like one such pairing that is bound to happen in the future.

Los Blancos were linked with a move for the Frenchman as recently as the summer, but eventually moved for Yan Diomande instead.

The Frenchman has now received an interesting endorsement from Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness.

Hoeness rates Olise above Lamine Yamal

As quoted by SPORT , Hoeness claimed in an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag that Michael Olise is better than Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal.

> “Michael Olise is on his way to becoming the best player in the world. For me, he is better than Lamine Yamal,” Hoeness declared.

The Bayern chief was equally enthusiastic when explaining what makes the winger such an exceptional talent.

> “He scores goals, provides assists, is fast… He is practically the perfect player,” he added.

Olise’s creativity, dribbling and attacking versatility have made him one of Bayern’s most influential players.

He was always considered a huge talent, even when he was at Crystal Palace, but no one envisioned him developing into the player he has become at Bayern.

The comparison with Yamal is particularly interesting as it means Madrid are interested in signing a player Hoeness considers better than the superstar of their arch-rivals.

Bayern dismiss Real Madrid transfer speculation

Hoeness also delivered a firm response to suggestions that Los Blancos could pursue a move for the young Frenchman.

> “That’s nonsense. Michael has a contract with us until 2029, so we’re not even considering that possibility right now,” he insisted.

Hoeness also revealed that Bayern intend to discuss a contract extension with the Frenchman during the season.

> “We’ll speak to him during the season about extending his contract. If he doesn’t want to renew, we’ll simply wait and see what happens in 2029. I’m not worried at all.”

For Real Madrid, Olise would undoubtedly represent an exciting attacking option. His natural attacking flair makes him the perfect right-winger for the club.

He has the ability to create chances, beat defenders and score goals. More importantly, he is naturally left-footed and would settle in well at Madrid.

However, making another expensive move for a winger immediately after signing Yan Diomande might not make sense for Madrid unless someone leaves.

Bayern also seem resolute in their desire to keep Olise, and it remains to be seen how his future plays out in the coming years.
