Manchester United could have an opportunity to sign Fikayo Tomori in January, with Milan reportedly ready to part ways with the defender when the transfer window reopens. According to TEAMtalk , the Red Devils are among several Premier League clubs monitoring the Englishman ahead of a potential return to his homeland.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Sunderland, and Fulham have also made contact, while Chelsea are interested in bringing their former academy graduate back to Stamford Bridge. Milan are reportedly willing to let Tomori leave in 2027, as the 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim .

With his contract entering its final 12 months, the Rossoneri could consider a January sale rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Tomori joined Milan from Chelsea in January 2021, initially on loan before completing a permanent transfer six months later. He quickly became an important figure at San Siro, helping the Italian giants win the Serie A title in 2021-22.

However, the centre-back has struggled to secure regular playing time this season, making just four appearances across all competitions, including only one brief Serie A outing.

Our Take on Milan, Man Utd & Tomori

Man Utd have endured a difficult start to the campaign, conceding 19 goals in 10 matches across all competitions. With defensive frailties contributing to their disappointing results, Michael Carrick’s side are expected to explore reinforcements in January.

Tomori’s Premier League experience and potential availability could make him an appealing option. Nevertheless, the Red Devils must determine whether he represents a significant upgrade on their current defensive options before pursuing a deal.

Furthermore, the Old Trafford giants face competition from several English clubs, while Milan’s willingness to negotiate could make the winter window decisive for the defender’s future.
