In the traditional Derby of the Sun, Napoli and AS Roma engaged in a completely crazy match (3-3), this Saturday, during the 8th day of Serie A. Massimiliano Allegri’s men first took the lead thanks to a superb acrobatic return from André-Frank Zambo Anguissa (28th), before Scott McTominay doubled the lead with a header returning from the locker room (48th). But Matías Soulé restarted the proceedings with a magnificent strike from the left (69th), before McTominay gave his team the advantage with a powerful shot from the edge of the area (80th).
However, AS Roma never gave up. Leonardo Balerdi first put the two teams back on level terms with a header from a cross from Wesley (83rd), before doing it again to snatch a spectacular draw in the final moments. Despite their two-goal lead, the Neapolitans let precious points slip away in front of their home crowd, at the end of a meeting full of twists and turns.
