Napoli and AS Roma shared the spoils on Saturday afternoon after an absolutely wild clash (3-2).
Yet this match had all the makings of a stroll in the park for Napoli, who opened the scoring through a stunning overhead kick from Zambo Anguissa (28').
With the game under control, Napoli stepped up a gear after the break and doubled their lead through the ever-reliable Scott McTominay (48').
But Roma then produced a superb fightback, wiping out the deficit in just five minutes through goals from Matias Soulé (69') and Leonardo Balerdi (74').
Just as the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium had fallen silent, Scott McTominay thought he had rescued his side with a strike from outside the box (83').
But Leonardo Balerdi, determined to be the hero of the day, completed an unlikely brace in the 89th minute to salvage a point!
Even so, the result does Roma few favours, as Inter Milan and Lazio could pull further clear if results go their way. Napoli, meanwhile, remain ninth in Serie A, within reach of Juventus, who could leapfrog them.
