Nico Paz is left out of the Como starting XI, with Samuele Ricci handed his first Serie A start for the club, whilst Kieron Bowie leads the Sassuolo attack.

Cesc Fabregas’ Como are in excellent form after thrashing Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, three days after winning 3-1 at Fiorentina. They are also unbeaten at home in Serie A this season.

Alberto Aquilani’s Sassuolo have eight points, but have picked up just one point in their last three games, a 1-1 draw with Milan. They suffered a heavy defeat at Frosinone last weekend and haven’t won since beating Juventus in Round 4.

Como remain without Moise Kean, Assane Diao, Trevoh Chalobah and Jesús Rodríguez, while Mattia Liberali misses out with a minor problem. Fabregas said on Friday that Kean could return for Tuesday’s game, but could not guarantee it.

Defenders Alberto Dossena and Kambwala return to the squad, along with midfielder Lahdo and forward Addai, none of whom are registered for the Champions League. Former Milan midfielder Samuele Ricci is also included.

Sassuolo are without Jay Idzes, who has a thigh problem, and Daniel Boloca (knee). Ismaël Koné (broken leg) is also out. Pieragnolo will play for the Primavera instead.

Neither side has any players suspended.
