The weekend's matches are just one of the topics in this morning's press review. Here are the biggest stories involving the top clubs.
Juventus eye Araujo for the left flank
One of Juventus' main priorities for the January transfer window is to strengthen their full-back options with quality players.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Sporting's Maxi Araujo is on their radar alongside Tagliafico and Ait-Nouri. It would have to be a permanent deal for a sizeable fee, only possible if Cabal is sold.
Milan's big names return in Udine: four key players to start
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Milan will put any lineup experiments aside against Udinese.
Mario Gila will feature in defence, with Modric in midfield and Rabiot in an attacking midfield role. Up front, Goncalo Ramos is back fit and will start.
Inter: Provedel's time has come
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristian Chivu has decided to start rotating his goalkeepers now that Josep Martinez has regained confidence through his performances.
Ivan Provedel will make his Serie A debut for Inter against Fiorentina. The goalkeeper will also play against Venezia, while Pepo will return to the starting lineup for the derby against Milan.
Napoli: Allegri benches Lobotka again
A Napoli side with Stanislav Lobotka left out for tactical reasons once seemed unthinkable, yet it will now happen for the second game in a row.
As Corriere dello Sport reports, Kevin De Bruyne will once again take the Slovak's place in the deep-lying playmaker role. It is a bold decision, driven by Allegri's desire to find the ideal position for the Belgian star.
Roma's big-game defence returns
After rotating against Genoa and Slovan Bratislava, Roma will restore their first-choice defence against Napoli, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Mancini, Ndicka and Hermoso will be on the pitch together for the first time since the Real Madrid match, when a 3-1 lead turned into a 4-3 defeat, partly as a result of defensive substitutions.
Lazio: Gattuso sticks with his men
As Gazzetta dello Sport points out, Gennaro Gattuso has complete faith in the new starters who have taken Lazio to the top of the table.
Players such as Sutalo, Belahyane and Isaksen are currently untouchable, despite the returns of Doekhi, Cataldi and Cancellieri giving him options to rotate.
Fiorentina: Vanoli keeps faith with Pellegrino
Despite his subdued performance against Como, Mateo Pellegrino will also start for Fiorentina against Inter.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, coach Paolo Vanoli intends to favour the Argentine striker over Beto. Now, though, he is looking for a response, perhaps with a first Serie A goal since the match against Venezia.
