Three Manchester United fans were taken to hospital following a fight in a bar ahead of the club’s Champions League defeat to Como.
Reports in Italy stated that around ten Man United fans were involved in the incident at the Krudo Bar in Piazza Volta.
Footage shared on social media showed an initial confrontation in the bar, which escalated after one fan threw two punches at an older man, with the second knocking him to the floor.
Other fans stood over the man, who regained consciousness and attempted to stand back up.
One fan could be heard in the footage shouting 'what the f are you doing,' as the fight escalated.
A younger fan was seen being struck by three different older men, before he was seen pushing one of them away.
Two younger supporters could be seen hiding behind a door amid the chaos, which saw glass shattered on the floor, with the bar's tables and chairs moved around as fans fought.
Blood was also seen on the floor following the confrontation between the fans.
Como based newspaper La Provincia reported that police were called to the incident, which took place around 1am.
Two ambulances and a medical car were also dispatched to attend to those injured in the clashes.
Three fans aged 43, 45 and 49, were initially treated at the scene before being taken to the Sant'Anna Hospital.
The supporters were later reported to have suffered only minor injuries.
An investigation has since been launched by police in Como, supported by British officers, to identify those involved in the incident.
The violence came ahead of Man United's Champions League match on Wednesday night against Italian side Como.
The Red Devils suffered a dismal 4-1 defeat to the Serie A side, with the result piling pressure on head coach Michael Carrick.
Man United have won just twice in 11 matches this season, with their only victories coming against Ipswich Town and Champions League minnows Sabah.
