Paris Brunner, who missed the weekend’s defeat to FC Lorient due to suspension, is set to start for AS Monaco against SC Freiburg in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
The competition in the forward line is slightly weakened on European nights, with USMNT forward Folarin Balogun not eligible to play, having been left out of the squad. The former Arsenal forward is not the only absentee. Eric Dier and Stanis Idumbo are both out with injuries. Both may be out until the international break, however, for Dier at least, there is hope that he could return before then.
One of the biggest question marks for Monaco revolves around who will start on the right of the attack. Matthis Abline is in contention, as are Edan Diop and Mamadou Coulibaly.
Monaco likely line-up v Freiburg
Lukas Hradecky; Christian Mawissa, Mohammed Salisu, Sadibou Sané, Jordan Teze; Lamine Camara, Edan Diop; Mathys Detourbet, Aleksandr Golovin, Mamadou Coulibaly; Paris Brunner. (L’Éq)
