Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has expressed his support for Joshua Kimmich following the death of his father, emphasizing that the club’s priority is making sure the Germany international has the time and space he needs to be with his loved ones.

Speaking to DAZN, Kompany made it clear that Kimmich’s well-being comes first, with Bayern Munich prepared to prioritize his family during what appears to be a difficult period.

> “Of course, what has happened with Joshua Kimmich and his family is unfortunate. Our priority now is to make sure he feels comfortable and can be with his children, his wife and his family,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ).

Kimmich is a central figure for Bayern Munich, serving as one of the team’s most experienced players and an important leader on the pitch. However, Kompany’s comments underline that football takes a back seat when personal and family matters arise.

For a club competing across multiple competitions, losing an influential player can create sporting challenges. Nevertheless, Kompany’s message reflects a people-first approach, recognizing that players need support beyond their responsibilities on the field.

Bayern Munich will hope Kimmich and his family can navigate the situation with the support they deserve.
