Welcome to Mirror Sport's live blog about Manchester City's 114 guilty charges.

The football world is still reeling from last month's announcement which confirmed the Cityzens had been found guilty on all charges relating to breaches of its financial regulations between 2009/10 and 2017/18.

It was deemed that the club artificially inflated revenue by more than £900million through the use of supposed 'sham' sponsorship deals. City continue to insist they are innocent and launched an appeal against the verdict on October 1.

They also maintain there is a "a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence" that exonerates them, but this is yet to be communicated to the public. In and amongst the saga, the legitimacy of their achievements over the last 20 years have been brought into question.

One of Pep Guardiola's former players has recently questioned his legacy at the club, given the fact many of his achievements took place in between 2009/10 and 2017-18.

All of this will be covered and more in today's Mirror Live blog!

Pep Guardiola legacy question by one of his former players

> "As a player and a columnist, I never had an issue with Manchester City – precisely because, for many years, the club avoided buying the most obvious superstars. Guardiola said it himself: the most valuable of the valuable do not go to a club such as City, who aren’t even the biggest football brand in their own home town. > > "Many became world stars in Manchester. Kevin De Bruyne had been discarded by Chelsea, Rodri’s true class was overlooked in Madrid for a long time, Gündogan’s career was on the brink after injuries, and most recently Gianluigi Donnarumma was no longer wanted in Paris. > > "In Germany, City signed players from Hamburg, Frankfurt and Wolfsburg. Erling Haaland in 2022 was the first player they targeted who was also pursued by Bayern Munich. City did not operate like Paris Saint‑Germain did in the era before Luis Enrique. > > "From the outside, City fundamentally did not do much differently from the other 10 or so top European clubs. But what are achievements on the pitch worth if they are accompanied by rule-breaking?"
