La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday evening been dealt a setback on the personnel front. This comes after a key member of the Blaugrana’s midfield ranks was forced off prematurely in the club’s latest outing.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League showdown with tournament holders Paris Saint-Germain.
Ahead of a La Liga meeting with arch rivals Real Madrid this weekend, the visitors opted to shake up their XI for the evening, introducing the likes of Marc Bernal and Dani Olmo.
As alluded to above, though, during the first-half at the Parc des Princes, the latter of this pair was forced off…
Following a clash in midfield, Olmo remained grounded, clutching his knee and in evident pain. After being seen to by the Barca medical staff, the Spanish international was in turn hauled off, limping as he made his way to the touchline.
Fermín López has been introduced in place of his fellow countryman.
