According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ), Manuel Neuer will undergo a final fitness test today after returning to team training yesterday. If the veteran goalkeeper passes the test, Bayern Munich’s captain will start tomorrow’s crucial Champions League clash against Arsenal.

Neuer’s potential return would be a significant boost for Vincent Kompany and Bayern Munich, who face one of their toughest tests of the season against Mikel Arteta’s side. Having their experienced captain back between the posts would provide a valuable dose of leadership and composure for a match where every mistake could prove costly.

However, Bayern Munich will not want to take unnecessary risks with their veteran goalkeeper, particularly with so much at stake. If Neuer is not fully fi t, Jonas Urbig remains an alternative.

Will Neuer be ready to go? The final fitness test should provide the answer and give fans the information they need to get ready for the game. It has not always been a smooth ride for Neuer this season, and some fans might rather see Urbig get the nod for this match.
