La Liga outfit Athletic Club have on Monday been afforded some altogether welcome news on the personnel front. This comes amid confirmation that star attacker Nico Williams has returned to group training.

Winger Nico has for his part been forced to sit out both of Athletic’s last two La Liga fixtures.

After departing Luis de la Fuente’s Spanish national team camp prematurely last month, a round of medical tests back in Bilbao revealed a muscular injury for the 24-year-old.

Nico, in turn, has spent the weeks since working with Los Leones’ medical staff, with a view to taking his place back on the pitch as soon as possible.

And if the latest word stemming from Lezama is anything to go by, then as much could be forthcoming as early as Wednesday.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo :

> ‘The Athletic Bilbao international trained seemingly normally alongside his teammates on Monday. Everything points, therefore, to him being included in the squad for the match the day after tomorrow (against Levante).’
