Real Betis have suffered a major setback in attack with Cucho Hernández sidelined. The striker will be out of action for around a month.
The club’s medical team confirmed that the player has sustained an injury to the upper part of his left soleus muscle. The club is hopeful that the muscle will respond well to treatment.
The injury occurred during the demanding league clash against FC Barcelona. The forward felt discomfort that raised concerns and prompted immediate diagnostic tests.
His absence is a headache for the team’s attacking plans at a crucial stage of the season. The coaching staff will be forced to reshuffle the forward line for the upcoming competitive fixtures.
The club’s aim is to avoid rushing his recovery and risking a recurrence in a particularly delicate muscle area. If rehabilitation progresses as expected, the player will return in four weeks.
